Although the core of this
five-piece band has been together since the late 1990s,
each of our members has brought decades of experience to create
music for countless locations in the Tampa Bay area.
When applying this mix
of singers and musicians, then adding its hallmark harmonies,
Flashback gives you the ingredients for the foremost in musical
entertainment.
Maybe its slow dancing,
stirring in the 50's & 60's favorites, shakin' it down to
the memorable 70's and 80's or a perhaps topping it off with
a sizzling Rock 'n Roll tune from somewhere in between, Flashback
will serve you the recipe for good fun. |

Jeff
Burns
... Jeff Burns (keyboard, vocals)- Jeff began playing piano at
the age of 3! He went on to study piano composition and orchestration
at Juilliard in NY. Jeff has written and recorded all styles
of music including country, pop, disco, jazz, classical and a
piano concerto for full orchestra. One recording received BILLBOARD
listing in the Most Promising category.
Jeff was introduced to Florida in 1982 when he played the Clearwater
Jazz Festival. He finally relocated in 1997, when he joined FlashBack.
His amazing versatility on the keys has helped to create a big
sound not usually attained by live bands today! |

Greg
Richardson
... Greg Richardson (Manager, Lead Guitar, Lead and Background
Vocals)- Greg started playing his Gibson Melody Maker guitar
in the early 60s.Originally self taught, he later took
a class in writing music at St. Petersburg College. At age 16,
Greg was offered a job doing studio work in Atlanta, but he turned
the job down, feeling too young to travel so far from home.
Greg appeared with Bertie Higgins, as well as local bands, such
as The Hellbenders and The Fugitives.
While in the Navy, on an aircraft carrier off the coast of VietNam,
he jammed with other sailor musicians. In 1993, Greg was brought
on by Richard Garland as music director of FlashBack
giving the band its trademark guitar sounds reminiscent of Johnny
Rivers, The Ventures, Chuck Berry and Santana. Additionally,Greg
worked in the studio with Michael Dan Ehmig who wrote songs for
a number of singers, such as; Ozzy Osborne, Lita Ford, Joe Cocker
and Meatloaf. Greg was part of a group who played on radio "WMNF"
for this project. One popular songs was "Rock and Roll Mercenaries. |

Gil
McKnight
... came on the music scene in 1993 where he organized a show
celebrating the music of Buddy Holly. Gil's portrayal of Holly
earned him a spot in "Flashback Tours", a top Florida
tribute band that featured Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Patsy
Cline. In 1994, the band was honored with a performance at the
Roy Orbison Memorial Festival in Wink, Texas.
As the
band evolved from 'Flashback Tours' to 'Flashback', Gil's own
unique style and exciting fronting ability emerged to give the
Flashback band a style all it's own... |

Linda
Werner
... Lead vocals. Linda, born and raised in Indianapolis, took
7 years of voice lessons, starting at age 16. Initially, studying
classical music, she then became the youngest member of the Indianapolis
Symphonic Choir. She did Broadway and stage performances before
turning her interests to popular music. Linda, while at a piano
bar in Indy, was discovered by Pete Brady who had a 5 piece band
that worked in Indy as well as Tampa, Fl. He asked her to try
out for the band opening the Holiday Inn on Clearwater Beach.
This began her career in Florida. After 5 months, she, the keyboard
player and the drummer formed a trio, which lasted several years.
The Band opened for Tiny Tim at the Bayfront Center. The next
6 years, she spent at Innisbrook singing with various groups
in 3 clubhouses.
Linda
then met Bob Werner, her husband, at the Bay Harbor in Tampa,
where they played for 6 years. They continued to work in Duos
and Trios for another 11 years. After that, she worked in Duos
and Trios before joining the FlashBack Band. She is happy to
work in the FlashBack Band with such talented musicians. She
has enjoyed trying to keep up with Front Man, Gil! This group
fills her with pride! |

Madison
Bolden ...Drummer.
Hailing from South Windsor. CT, Madison started playing percussion
instruments and drums at an early age and was exposed to a wide
variety of music. His musical influences include soul music of
the 60s-70s, Fusion/Jazz/Funk and many other genres.
After a long run with the popular Hartford based R&B band
Pizzaz Madison put down his drumsticks for over 25
years to focus on his family and career. Retiring to the Tampa
Bay area, the vibrant music scene has re-ignited his passion
for performing and he is thrilled and honored to join the incredibly
talented musicians of the Flashback band. |

Rich
Garland
...
Rich started his singing career in the late 80's when he began
putting together a "Roy Orbison Tribute" called "In
Dreams". Not long after, he joined forces with several other
impersonators, Gil McKnight (Buddy Holly), Melanie Villagas (Patsy
Cline) and Larry Harmon (Elvis Presley), and "FlashBack
Tours" was created. Rich was asked to be the headliner in
1994, 95 and 96 at the "Roy Orbison International Festival"
in Wink Texas. Joining him in '94 were fellow members of Flashback
Tours, Buddy Holly and Patsy Cline. In the late 90's Rich decided
to pursue other musical interests, but over the years, has performed
many times with the now current "Flashback", "Sequel",
"The Travelers" and others throughout the TampaBay
Area of Florida, AND currently in 2022, has joined forces with
another fellow military veteran, Phil Ferrazano, to form the
musical duo, "Shadows Of Time". |

Howard
Kleinfeld ... Bass player Howard's interest in
music started early in life. He learned his studio and production
craft while in Europe for the better part of the 1980's. He signed
as an artist to RCA and Ariola Records and to Francis Day and
Hunter and EMI Music as a staff writer. Studying music theory
and composition along the way, he became an in-demand songwriting
partner and session singer and went on tour with many notable
European pop-stars of the day. Upon returning to the US, he formed
On The Air Music, a production company for scoring, jingles,
film and TV. He composed and produced for clients including McDonald's,
The Florida Lottery, HBO Sports, Florida Power, Super Kmart,
BayCare Hospitals, Golden Boy Promotions, Hardee's, and Sonesta
Hotels. Additionally, he is the author of self-published novels,
"Dial M for Merlot" and "Cabernet Confessional,"and
co-writer of the song "Under One Big Sky," recorded
by the band Kansas on their "In the Spirit of Things"
release. |

Tim Cronin ... Tim is one of our Backup bass/lead vocalist who is
with a number of other bands in the area. Performing on stages
since he was 7 years old, Tim grew up in a very musically oriented
family. Both of his parents played instruments. His mother taught
him his first guitar chords. After having limited luck breaking
into the Chicago music scene (where he was born and raised),
Tim moved to Tampa Bay in 2005 and became one of the most sought
after bassiests in the area. He has performed with literally
dozens of bands, playing stages in South Carolina, Arkansas,
Louisiana, Texas and all over Florida from Daytona to Key West.
Due to his busy schedule, Tim only plays with FlashBack on select
dates, but when he's there, he holds down the low end like a
pro! |

Patti Bell ... Patti is one of our Backup singers
who was a band member at one time but is currently a member of
the Sequel band. She is a very talented singer with an amazing
vocal range. |

Kevin
Ryan
...Bass and vocals. Kevin has been a well-respected bassist in
the Tampa Bay area for over 20 years. Prior to that, he lived
and performed in New Orleans for 20 years, playing with many
of the New Orleans legends such as Aaron Neville, Frankie Ford
(Sea Cruise) and many more.
Having
started his musical path at age 10 on the piano, he has been
a professional musician for 60 years. He was formally trained
as well as having decades of touring and recording experience.
A few of his credits include; George Benson, Jeff Beck, King
Curtis, James Brown and the Famous Flames.
Additionally,
he is a vocalist, song writer, audio engineer, and a producer.
He plays keyboards and guitar. Kevin always brings his best to
a performance. |
